Tenaya Lake, from a trip over the weekend to Yosemite. Travelled all along Tioga pass over the other side to Mono Lake. Tioga Pass is one of the most scenic roads. C&C welcomed.

Thanks for your comments. I have reworded the title a bit. Hope it helps to convey what I had in mind. I love to travel, and the rugged splendor of the Sierra Nevada is my connection to the land.

Beautiful shot, Gotsy! The summer sun is gorgeous! Like Yakim, I'm not entirely convinced as to the relevance to the topic but it surely is a beautiful scene! Are a Californian or are you just out here for a visit?

Thanks for your kind words. I live in the Bay Area.

Looks like I havent managed to convey my thoughts . Yosemite and its surrounding areas are one of the few places that give me a sense of connection with nature. Its a place that we love to visit again and again. Cant think of a more apt title to convey it.

took 2 days to hike to it, was a nice surprise to see such a nice lake after being in the woods.
