I want to set the filenumber to the same number as the numbers shot with the camera. Is this possible? I can't find this in the manual. Can anybody help me with this? |

You have to do it by manually renaming the files. There is no way to tell the D300 to "sync" with the number of shots taken by the camera. |

The "problem" is with the D300 (not the D3). |

you tell the D300 to start renumbering from 0 every time the card changes. put in an empty card. take one picture. then you put in a card with the file with the number that you last used, set the camera to remember the last number used, and take one picture. this is another reason not to share cards across cameras without formatting first. |
