Lars, I do believe those are avocets, they are different from American avocets but very similar. They are so gracefully shaped and you captured that beauty wonderfully. I've never heard of a shelduck so I can't help there but the images you have of them are lovely. I like that last one the best for the symmetry of the birds and reflections. Well done.

Reflections in these Lars are elegant. Very nice coloring, my favorite being #3 for its simplicity and clean composition. Very nice series, the Shelducks are gorgeously marked.

Very nice captures, Lars. Avocets always look very gentle birds. Good job on the exposure. Yes, those are Shelducks, Old World waterfowls.
