Colin - I saw on your Facebook feed that you are going to be in Disney World and looking for recommendations. I live about 10 minutes from Disney World. What sort of things are you looking to do?

Jay - Awesome Bone Shot!

Here are a few of my shots from the past few months. Still working on OSH stuff...but here are some heavies in the meantime. Comments and constructive criticism welcome

I have learned a few things, that the 50D has poor performance at high ISOs and that my kit 75-300 lens is the next on the list to be replaced/upgraded.

Ok Gang, I need an approximate head count for rooms at the Marriott/HQ. I'm thinking this is close:

AL - Wed/Thurs/Sun/Mon
Zim - Wed/ Thurs/Sun
Glenn & Nadya - Thurs
Jay - Thurs/Sun
Larry - Wed/Thurs/Sun
Lady Jo - Thurs

Who might I be missing? I'll have Monday evening in reserve for Zim, just in case there is WX. Glenn, I'll get you a PPR for Friday am in and Friday evening out. Just get me aircraft specifics as soon as you know them.

You can take me out of that mix please Jim. I'm doing alternate (yet equally affordable) lodging.

Thank You though!

That works for me, Jim, unless I have to take the airlines. Then I'd need only Wed/Thu.

I was frustrated today when the weather broke not to have a flyable airplane. Until I realized there was a big old TFR put in place to facilitate rescue ops from the flooding. The misery continues: all the water that fell on us is working its way northeast through the Greeley area and beyond, creating havoc for even more folks.

Damn right. 20 Million Aussies too, as we have signed up to by 100 of them.

Such is the nature of the western US. For the majority of the time we are faced with drought conditions and near empty reservoirs. Just when things look bleak, prayers are answered and we get these toad chokers that fill the reservoirs overnight and floods sometimes follow. Then prayers turn to those in need.

Here is a real Top Gun. That is a United States Navy Fighter Weapons School patch on his left arm.

Thought I would share some of the photos from the Kennedy Space Center here in Florida. Space Shuttle Atlantis is the main display. All shot with the D600 and 16mm 3.5 AI.

Thanks J-A. A little like Cruise in the face - maybe. However, this marine is probably 4-feet taller than Cruise

Cruise should be proud to even be mentioned in the same breath with this hero!

One of the many National Guard helicopters working search and rescue out of KBDU (Boulder Colorado) today. We've seen folks in wheel chairs, wild land fire fighters and perhaps most interesting, dozens of 5th grade kids who had been on school sponsored three day camp up in the mountains get dropped off today. The National Guard is doing great things for Colorado today.

Hey Andrew, as far as Disney World is concerned, we will go to Epcot, and maybe Animal Kingdom. Other than that, I am not sure. Any help with other attractions there will be greatly appreciated. My niece just got back from there about a month ago, so she has helped some.
