The Brits are definitely tougher fliers than yours truly. Not on my list of preferred UK flying destinations any time soon. I can't even imagine how hard the pilots were working on these arrivals and departures. Watch in HD and full screen to get the complete experience

Some scary stuff there. You'd think they'd be able to lay down a level runway though, and not a roller coaster

We landed at Gatwick from Greece a few years ago and, as we crossed the channel, the message was given "The crosswind at Gatwick is at its maximum permitted level - we have been informed that we can divert to Birmingham or Manchester if we want (200-300 miles away) but our pilot is ex Royal Air Force and he's going to have a go!!". We made a perfect landing, but I'd rather not have been told in advance!

I have been talking with the Movifreefly folks about their Movi5 and Movi 10 products. The 5 won't work with the 1DX/D800 bodies because the base plate won't accept them. That bumps the entry fee ten grand, ugh. I'm thinking that I'll wait until I have an assignment where I can expense at least half of that in one whack. Would be cool to have though.

Well Jim your money is in your pocket and well my pocket is
No serious I had a wonderful time with Jo and the rest of the gang.
Again learned a lot and we will have to see how we are going to put that back in to the photography.
Even Wilk was at the symposium very cool to shake the hand of one of the Tuskegee Airman.
The presentation that stood the most out for me was from Stacy Pearsall that brought back some stuff long gone.
The Kelby one guys were also very good especially crazy Pete Collins what a fun guy.
In all al the presentations were good and almost won the paper plane contest a second time but i came in a good second.
Scott Kelby was very convincing about the use of lightroom as were all the examples that were showed so i have to look in to that when i'm back home.
The award and some of Russel Munson's photo's were also very cool.
We also got to see the Bob Hoover Movie very cool i have to say I hope that they eventually release it on DVD.....
I hope the storms predicted for tomorrow won't give me delays if I known it in advance i would have gone home today but hey you can't have it all....

That one's awesome Glenn.

I'd bet that would look great on metallic paper.

If you'd like to see it 8.5x11 (or any variant that fits on 8.5x11) you could fire me the file and I will bring it with me this weekend...

I think this one is absolutely amazing. This would rock on either metallic paper or an aluminum print. I would love to see it this way...

I think you've got it now Glenn. To me, they were hazy before and it looked like you were fighting some funky lighting. I don't see any of that going on in the new images.

You are there...

Silver effex wins the award, Glenn. That is a super sweet job you performed in capturing and processing the image.
