Two from Easton, MD's Memorial Day exhibit. Attempted some post in PSE to add some vintage grainy look.

My prayers were answered and we were rewarded with clear blue skies at Duxford yesterday.

The theme for the show was the 70th anniversary of the USAAF arriving at Duxford and it was great to see Col. 'Bud' Anderson and hear his memories of the UK during wartime.

The tribute flypast - RAF Red Arrows with Duxford's "Eagle Squadron" (Spitfire I, Hurricane, P-51C Princess Elizabeth, P-47 Snafu):

The triple ace:

Great shot of the reds + eagle squadron James
Knowing the reds were comming I'd set the 7D to a custom preset at 1/800s and forgot to switch it back again once I realised the eagle squadron were in the formation too

No secrets - these were all taken at 1/100 f/11 with 1DX + 300mm f/2.8 + 2X T/C, aching arms and back and holding one's breath!!!

Yeah; it's kind of hard to get a picture of her without smoke now!

I'm enjoying these Duxford pictures with bright blue sky; you don't see that as often as one would like....

Yes blue sky at Duxford is rare indeed.

I've just been looking at info for the American Cemetery near Cambridge UK, I never knew it was there until I looked at some info on Sally B website.

Just for reference I decided to look up Arlington on google earth
I was left gobsmacked by the scale of the place, must visit one day.
