If you remember Arthur Godfrey, you know he was a great fan of aviation. He owned and flew many types of aircraft and talked about it on his daily CBS radio show.

This piece was produced to be shown in theaters along with feature films. It shows off several US civil and military aircraft. It was made in the mid-50s motion picture style, but is very informative.

Thanks, Laura; good stuff. I've always loved the Super Connie.

Times were different back then: "Hey, we finished our climb check; now it's time for a Chesterfield."

Finally working through the last images from 2013. Now that I have the official Canon rain gear I won't have to use the Walmart poncho that I used at Road Atlanta this year. Not the easiest thing to shoot in!!

Beautifully restored Collins Foundation B17 came through Blairsville GA last October as part of the Wings Of Freedom Tour. This time a very early wake up and long drive really paid off.

That is one sweet image, Tim. Love the tonality you've achieved with the B&W conversion.

Hey everyone, sorry I have been so vacant from the thread this past year. Lots going on, and photography has taken on a life of its own before my eyes in the last year. Had a wonderful time at KTKI with Jim last week. The wind was so strong, takeoff rolls almost required no forward movement. You all can guess whose hanger I was in...taken with a mirrorless "point and shoot". This is out of camera, could use a further crop.

Had a round engine noise fest last weekend at the local airpark. Our own Wrei even drove up all the way from Temple to join in!

Chairman Of Joint Chiefs Warns Of Disconnect With Military

Interesting interview I came across while hunting for this one I heard the other day. This second one, I almost drove off the road from laughing so hard:

Executive Chef The transcript doesn't include the actual story.

Somewhere there is a video showing Glenn "getting the shot" and nearly a haircut. Not often you see someone getting a haircut lying down.

Eddie Ray, I have no idea what I'm walking into tomorrow in Waco, but if I have time are you around for a Coke/snack in the afternoon?

Mike, what is it about infrequent visitors to MA2A HQ that draws us to the Cub's standard prop pose?
