Heads up, Texas folk! The Collings Foundation have listed their ME-262 coming to Dallas(now), Denton, Temple, Austin and Fort Worth over the next few days/weeks, alongside the usual suspects... http://www.collingsfoundation.org/cf_schedule-wof.htm

Thanks for the heads up!

For those of you who would like a ride in this, it requires a pilot certificate and an up to date physical. They do offer unusual attitude training and type qualification for those of you who might want to add an Me262 to their cert .

Rob, I was showing my son and daughter this shot and asking Skyler what airplane it was. He correctly identified it and I told them this was taken in Texas. My 7-yr old daughter looked at this picture and said, "That's Texas? I thought Texas would be more dusty... and have bulls!"

I was caught off guard expecting the 262 to do a solo pass or two, didn't see that he had formed up with the Mustang until it was almost too late to change my settings back for props lol

Well darn. Due to the sequestration Cleveland has canceled the airshow for this year. One of the longest running airshows around, and continuously since 1964, has fallen to stupidity.

Tell her she's correct; the condition of my almost freshly washed truck proves it. The next time I buy a vehicle I'm going for something in a nice dust color instead of dark blue!

If what I found is correct they have gone to having the show every other year.

you know, it's strange. The Blue Angels originally made an announcement similar to the Thunderbirds that they were grounded for the season, then have come back and said that they have heard no word, and currently still show themselves with a nearly full show schedule (including Alliance). There's definitely quite a few "AIRSHOW CANCELLED" designations in their schedule, but according to this they're still going to Bagotville, Quebec...I'm at a loss. But once we see if they're still attending some of the show dates I might just have to pull the trigger and book my flights for Alliance.

Hi Steve:
Hopefully the Blues are just riding out the "theater performance" and not getting all excited for nothing.

Maybe nobody told them, but I'm planning on seeing them at Alliance!
