One of the winter swimming places I regularly use.
This is taken at night. There's light on the pier, which makes the dark water look so inviting

I love the "feel" of this shot.

What's going on here - do you swim in what looks to be insanely cold water?

looks like a frozen lake at night...I don't see how people do that...I remember jumping into the pool in college in the winter after a few too many beverages, the water was 50F or so....I couldn't get out fast enough...colder than that...I wouldn't be able to get out....

The image conveys the night swimming feel that I get...well done, and good luck this week...huge turnout this week.

I do... and it's not "insanely cold", it's just zero C
There's a pump under the pier, keeping the opening from freezing over
