OK, not original it was my attempt at this idea from Bryan Peterson's book on "Understanding Close-up Photography". Still learning a lot about Macro Photography and doing a lot of experimenting...but since the bugs are all in hiding this time of year in Wisconsin, I thought I'd try my hand at Bryan's idea. |

Thank you all. Mark81, I'm not sure there is a point to the exercise, just a neat macro idea, and one that caught my eye while reading the book. I liked the colors and thought it looked fun to try and repeat so I set it up. I guess part of the exercise was to help learn how to deal with the natural light (the fire) and flash for the match sticks and heads. Also an exploration in "texture" for the burnt match heads. |
