They are not yet available and even the standard Sony 49mm (19.95) is out of stock at B&H so why not order an el-cheapo 49mm for temporary protection. |

Dang, guess I will just have to wait until sony releases one. I have some cheaper 49mm ones laying around but the metal one was super nice. |

I'll answer my own question - yes, the 49mm lens caps all fit the RX1. I got this one |

Update - Only the 49mm lens caps that are secured against the inner diameter of the lens, such as the snap-on lens caps, will work on the RX1 The 49mm lens caps that are secured against the outer diameter of the lens, such as the push-on lens caps, DO NOT WORK ON THE RX1. |
