Are you sure those aren't Giant WhiteHeaded Hummingbirds? Nice shots...I'm actually curious about the pale wing feathers on what I thought was an adult...maybe others have seen mottled feathers like that but I don't recall seeing that too commonly.

Henrik, so glad I was able to finally show you what a bald eagle looks like

Paul, these were taken in Virginia Beach, VA, in the Stumpy Lake area. I was lucky enough to capture a fishing sequence, but I wasn't lucky enough to actually have the eagle flying towards me, so I have several nice pics of him holding his dinner and flying away from me....

Eric, they very well could be... I'm not very good at identifying birds. Don't know about the feathers, but there are a couple of eagles in this area that exhibit those.
