New Mexico State Aggies defeated South Alabama 58-52. Close game with a lot of action. Got to the venue too late to put up a remote camera so I mainly shot with a 70-200 on a D3 and a 400 2.8 on my D3S.

Michael: Nice job. Really like #1 and 2. That looks like a big arena with very few fans. Does it ever fill up? I've never used my 400 for basketball. Do you get many keepers with it? Thanks for posting.

I like #1 2-5-6 seem soft.

Michael,
Nice work! Looks like a lot of empty seats though, even down low.
#1 is definitely my fav.

Yeah, attendance at these games are poor. It's mainly a commuter school, but some people stay on campus.

Ben: Since my camera is full frame, it's essentially like using the 300 2.8 on a crop camera. Takes some getting used to.

Richard: I got used to shooting highschool sports and foolishly lowered my shutter speed which introduced some motion blur. I'm willing to guess that it's the reason why some may seem soft.

Nice set I like #1 the best of the bunch looks like #2 is a little soft and on #3 the focus is on the defender not the kid with the ball.
