I'm looking for some help. I have a Canon ipf8300. It's now showing an error message "cannot detect paper size". Canon support was no help. Printer was 3 mos. out of warranty when problem started. Canon wants $1500.00 to send someone out to look at it. Any info would be appreciated. |

I have had this error show on my ipf6300. Try turn off at mains when the error shows to see if that will re-sets the software, I used to get problems with paper loading if I used the main menu to load a paper change rather than use the Load button on the top of the printer |

I gave that a try but still a no go. Thanks for the effort. |

Have you tried the Canon wide format wiki? |

I would also suggest you try asking for help on the luminous landscape printing forum. There are lots of very helpful large format printers there. |
