This is one I took last June in Maui, the winds were gusting so hard I could barely hold onto the hand rail and of course I was the only one foolish enough to try. Nothing like trying to take pictures at 10,000 feet in 75 mile per hour winds with the temp dipping below 40, sure felt colder in sandals, shorts and t-shirt. Wow did I feel like a tourist |

Yes, but this is no tourist shot. The contours and tonal contrasts are beautiful. |

Thanks Phil! I even chipped the paint on my brand new 5d trying to get the shot. |

Pretty good work for a tourist! The shorts and sandals blow your cover of being a photographer. |

Thanks Jeffrey, it sure was hard to focus on my camera settings in those kind of conditions. Sure makes me appreciate Landscape photographers alot more. |

Really great. When I was there I just couldn't get a perspective I liked of the crater. But this is excellent! |

Rilley, I was standing just in front of the visitor center on the right side. |

Very nicely done for a guy in disguise as a tourist |

Very nice shot! Given the variety of textures in the shot, I wonder if it would make a decent b&w as well.(?) |

Ed thanks for the comment. It was my first real try at blending two exposures. |
