Hoping someone may be able to help...I've consulted my field guides but I am still stumped. Is this a Greater, or Lesser Scaup? The head seems more similar to the Lesser, but the whiteness of the wings suggests Greater. Thoughts?

I would say lesser because of the peaked head.

Some say the purple vs green sheen on the neck is an indicator too. This one looks greenish to me, which suggests greater. But the shape looks lesser. Hmm. I'd trust shape more than color. Either way, nice shots.
