Anyone have any experience with this wireless remote for remote trigger and remote flash trigger use with D800 and D7000?

The D800 takes a 10 pin and the D7000 takes a different connector (not sure I don't have one and lack of 10 pin keeps me from buying the smaller bodies)

I googled it and for 20 bucks you can't go wrong but down expect Pocketwizard range and reliability. I have a Hanl one that I use for close distances and when I want to be in the shot, very similar and does the job... It's Pocketwizards when I need distance and reliability.

The pocketwizard release cable for the 10 pin alone is $80+

If I buy Cactus V5 release cables for Nikons will they work OK with the PW's?

No idea I've never used that off brand stuff... go to flashzebra.com you can get the cords there for cheaper.

I use this...and picked up an additional cable for the D7K for $7. Great value, no probs. in ~2 yrs of rodeo use.
