I would still buy an X-Rite Pro over the Spyder even at whatever price differential. In the long run it's money better spent.

Why?

When I have searched through reviews and whatnot I always seem to find a lot more complaints about x-rite products than the spyder products when comparing comments about the two. I know that's not a thorough examination of the products but that has been my observation.

Either way this is more comparable to the X-rite Colormunki Display than the i1 pro and any of them are better than nothing. Sometimes you have to go with what you can afford.

Just saw that Amazon now has it for this price through J&R Music World. For me that means it's 11 bucks cheaper because no tax and it's also free shipping. Directly from Amazon it's $146.
