Just a couple from recent walk.

Everyone was in the grass , trees , weeds or a group. Not too many really clean backgrounds.

On the last shot, the weather was changing. Rain clouds coming in. Looked around and saw the little one perched on what reminded me of an umbrella.

As always your comments, nits and suggestions are much appreciated.

Hope you enjoy,

Birdie

Birdie,

Great shots! I don't think I've ever seen a picture of a Whistling Duck, and #3 is just flat out cool.

Superb images Birdie! The ibis is super duper good for texture. How the heck did you get so close?

I like the last very much Roberta, too bad the little one was so shy!

Love the EYE-bis...and "seeing" the umbrella is very cool...not a bad outing despite the challenges.

Thanks Wes, very much. You should hear the sounds they make . They are aptly named as whistling

Thanks Ken. I was just plain lucky. There is a slightly elevated path along the side of the pond. In the pond only about 15 feet from the bank is a little "island" with a few trees. The ibis was in the tree , just a bit higher than the path. I don't think it saw me as it was surround by the branches. I had to wait for it to move its head out of the leaves. I was just lucky

Oh Birdie, the Umbrella shot is a real treat, fitting for the rainny weather we have here in the Bay Area. Great work!
