I just checked the Apple Store. If you add sales tax (which I think everyone does, at least in the US), it really is about $350 - $400 cheaper. Bump for a good deal.

Please post some pictures of the screen and laptop. Are there any scratches, dings or marks?

There are only 5 states that don't charge some form of sales tax. They are Alaska, Oregon, Montana, Delaware and New Hampshire.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I'm definitely not an expert on sales tax.
