I was invited to be the referee of this match.
One round, winner gets to mate with all the female mockingbirds in the area.

1. The current champ : Yellow Eyes.

2.The Challenger: Dark Eyes.

3.Before you knew it, they were all tangled up for the ground battle :

4. Dark eyes' beginning to grab the Champ by the wings....

5.The Champ tried to signal me for a foul call, but I wasn't sure....

6. Well, I didn't make the call, but now dark eyes started to bite and poke on the Champ's face....Again, I wasn't sure if that was an illegal move ...

7. After a few tosses and turns, they ended up in a stalemate with the Champ on the right side now.

8. Soon they were both quite tired; since there were no action, the crowds were booing and I had to break them up....
I shouted : BREAK AND LETS FLIGHT !!!

9.The champ released his grab but Dark eye seized the opportunity and push the Champ to the ground; shouting "You're done Old Man"

10. Dark Eyes then gave the Champ a neck choke, definitely an illegal move with Human UFC but he's doing it with his foot .....the crowds were booing but wasn't sure I should step in....

11. Yellow Eyes was choking, unable to breath, he had to tap for submission.....using his foot. I accepted that and declared Dark Eyes the new Champ.

I had to be escorted out of this place.....

Cool set. And good ringside commentary. I've only ever seen this behavior once, but was too far away and slow to get any shots.

What a rare look into their world, I have never seen such a thing. Then again we don't have Mockingbird here.

Wonderful action, very well documented and excellent play by play. Super set Tiny!!!

Thanks BeeBalm,

Yeah, he's OK, the Doc gave him a neck brace; his ego is hurt more than anything....and he's single now.

Nice! I've seen this once with song sparrows! It's quite amazing how violent they get!

Excellent images. I've witnessed several "fights" of mockingbirds here but never captured it with the camera ........ great job.

Now that was entertaining and the pictures were amazing! I witnessed a battle of two Tree Swallows going at it in the water and they do go for pinning or grabbing the wings to restrict flight I guess.

#7 #10 and #11 are just super, one heck of a job you did on the series, thanks for sharing and the commentary was over the top...........Ding Ding!
