Beetlebugs are wild looking bugs up close, with little beady blue eyes!

Grasshoppers have speckeled eyes, amazing what you see/learn with Macro.

Good detail in the grasshopper here. I like the irredescence of the beetlebug.

Very nice set ! Now, that is one colorful grasshopper, great shot and detail on the face.

Macro does open up an entirely new world !

Thanks Denis, I was not sure they just call them Beetle Bugs here, so I went with it.

I knew someone would be able to guide me in the right direction as to what it really is.

Thank you birdie, I love it but I really need to use the tripod more and be more patient with my subjects, bugs tend to move around, A LOT!

Thanks Doug, I have to admit I needed to look up what "irredescence" meant, and yeah, your right!

Have a good one!

LOvely shots- esp like the hopper shot - looks like it's in army fatigues.
Slightly missed focus on the beetle's eye but it does have wonderful colours

Thanks Brian! That is exactly what I thought when I saw it. Yeah, I was little off on the beetle but he would not hold still.

Very beautiful.

Thanks guys!

I agree michael, #2 is the better of the set.

Have a good one!
