Two excellent images, Mark.
Assuming it to be an immature red-tailed hawk, I'm a bit surprised that in the first shot the bird looks quite short compared to its wing span (I'm seeing this in the context of having seen a number of other RTH images on this forum).
Is it just the angle? Or are red-tailed hawks a bit short-bodied for their overall size?
Or (always a possibility) am I nuts ?)
