Some recent arachnid captures from the garden

Brian V.

Small spider on a water barrel

Laceweb spider with raindrop - think this is a male Amaurobius species

Large orbweb female- Araneus diadematus

Red spider mite on bush oak leaf about 1mm body length

Small orbweb spider- Araniella sp. think this has got one of those external wasp larva parasites (between the abdomen and thorax)

Since when were aphids this big ? - tiny spider with an aphid (taken at 4:1)

Thanks. Using a canon MPE-65/5Dmk2/430Ex flash with DIY diffuser.
Some of the shots, especially #3 have been focus stacked for greater DOF.
