As the lens becomes more in-stock at places & demand subsides a little, hopefully we will see some price discounts/sales soon.

For Canadians, CameraCanada has it in stock now also at $2,399. Maybe ask if they can match B&H. They did for my 5D3 and that was during the first few weeks of release.

I had a great experience with Camera Canada. I got my 500 II from them.

I don't honestly see a price drop on this lens for another six months or so at least. Only because demand is high and stock is low still over a month after release. If anything it may lower for spring rebates next year.
