A local photographer offered to rent me his studio for some occasional shooting.

I plan to bring my own lights, camera and backdrops, and will be using the studio no more than once a month,
for 3-4 hours at a clip, to work on some poses. I'm not being paid by my model.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what would be a fair rental price to pay for the use of the studio, for each photo session? I'm in effect just renting the space for a few hours.

I live in suburban New York.

My opinion for a limited time of 3-4 hours studio time and using all of your own equipment, I would pay $25/ hr.

Thanks for the suggestion. Sounds pretty fair to me.

You can enquire about the average rental price in any nearby studios.

Why not ask the guy who is renting the studio? He might have an idea.

If they need to pay a person to keep the studio open when you are there that could cost $15.00 an hour itself. It also depends on location and rent they are paying. I would think closer to $50.00 hour. Large studio space would be way higher than that.
