This is our old friend Finger Licking at the Oceanside Marine Nature Study Area on Long Island, New York. I took these photos shortly after his migration back to the New York Metro area this spring. He arrived much later than the other great egrets, possibly it’s getting to be a tough trip for him.

Amazing! #1 is tack sharp. I did not know that D200 with 80-400 and tc1.4 can give that result. Of course great photog behind the view finder.
