I forgot I told Herb the key to my back yard gate was under the Hummingbird statue.

The following 6-images/of 18 are of the same BE sequence. In the first two images, a federal band is clearly visible on the left foot of the BE.

When the eagle banked back to the right, no state band is visible on the right foot. Either the state band was not placed or the the right foot or the state band fell off prior to this shooting. Hmmm...I have to assume the latter.

1-3

Very nice set Ted!

FYI, it's quite possible that the tagged bird is a local from down the road at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. I understand that there are quite a few nesting pairs on all that Army property.

So when the hummers leave your pond then the eagles come. Wow, I really like the environment that you live in, Ted! Beautiful shots of this splendid bird. Congrats.

I forgot I told Herb the key to my back yard gate was under the Hummingbird statue.

That's alright UT, I made copies so I'm good for the rest of the season. Not a bad set considering the reports I received from command central were negative for the day. #3-6 are my picks.
