-1 ![]() -2 ![]() -3 ![]() -4 ![]() -5 ![]() -6 ![]() -7 ![]() -8 ![]() All: D200 + 80-400 VR @ 400mm, ISO 400, 1/800, f8, fill flash (SB910 + Better Beamer) Saturday morning I pull into the parking lot at the Oceanside Marine Nature Study Area in Long Island, NY and the first thing I see is this egret standing there a few feet from the edge of the lot. There is a photographer hiding behind a tree and taking photos of it. I move in behind him and take a few photos before seeking a location with a better background. Moving about 8 feet to my right provides a wonderful background. I sit on a car stop and begin taking photos. The morning light was filtered by a thin layer of clouds creating a natural soft box. The great egret put on a great show and about 50 photos later it was time to see what else was happening in the park. Comments and suggestions welcome, Morris |
