Nice, at least some progress in the Canon camp if this is finally true. Unfortunately another 1 series hyper expensive camera body I am afraid. No competitor to D800 still. But at least some progress in getting out a better sensor. Let's see what happens next month. BTW, where are now all the fanboys who shouted loud against when I predicted that such camera could be announced in 2012? |

I have no doubt Canon has the ability to cram a lot of megapixel in a sensor. The only question is whether it's commercially viable or not. |

Didn't Canon say in a interview that it wasn't possible for them to currently offer a sensor with more resolution because it would cause negative affects? |
