My grandfather has asked me for a calendar for Christmas of some of my wildlife images. I am curious to get your take on a few of them. Here is one I am considering. Thoughts, suggestions, improvements?

Good potential for a calendar. You might consider a bit of a re-crop, original permitting and some shadow/highlights and vib/sat changes.

Thank you for the rework and comments. Much appreciated. I probably won't settle on the final crop until I know the print dimensions, but I think you are taking it the right direction.

The comp looks fine.
The processing needs tuning to my eye.
Probably a bit too contrasty. Karen appears to have pulled back some detail from the shadows which I think is needed.
Orange tones in the original look a bit over-saturated. In Karen's rework, meant to add a bit more vibrancy and life to the water and image, the neck of the bird is far too saturated.
I'd like to have a go at the RAW if you can post a link or send it.
