LR support for Sigma Merrils

Today Adobe staff posted in the Adobe forum that they are working on support the DP2x sensors.

"The Merrill models use a special sensor technology called Foveon which requires very different image processing logic compared to the so-called Bayer sensors used by almost all of the other cameras. We actually are working on support for these Foveon sensors (includes all the Merrill models) but it will take some time.2

What I admire about your work is your ability to create a large DR with good detail in the highs and low and nice black. I have tried to mimic your pp without achieving your level of success. Hopfully at some point I will discover your secret.

Thank you mordicai! Try to use the gradient filter in ACR or lightroom to fiddle with the shadows.

BTW Not everyone agrees with you as you can read in the Speedbooster thread .
But I do my best.

Here is one I just worked on with some sharpening added in PS.

I stopped sharpening again with the DP2m. I don't think it is an improvement.

Chrissearle: the images / view are actually quite similar.

Rattymouse: (the last image) finally an image that displays the unusual wave form distortion of the DP2M lens...

Michiel: love your storefronts and facades.

That is a rather unusual aspect of this camera we did not discuss yet
