Even in grey skies, the Red, White, and Blue stands ready to defend our freedom and that of others.

Nice shot, I was in a living flag celebration at Soldiers Field in 1967 of 10,000 Sailors , being in the service at that time we gave a lot for those colors.

A nice image. You Americans really are a patriotic lot. It's something many Brits could do with.

Hi Norm,

I was in VN in '68, Yes, we gave of ourselves, and yet, we were treated like slim upon our return. It is so nice to see our citizens holding our soldiers in high esteem and praising them.

Words cannot say enough of what "Our Colors" mean.

Thank you for your comment and good luck to you.

Hi Pete,

Thank you for looking in. Yep, no matter how much we differ, we always come together in times of need. Our colors run through our veins, deep to the core.

Brits are such special people. They show a "stiff upper lip" when the chips are down, quite stoic and good friends.

Hi Gary,

Viewing our flag stirs the same feelings in me. I'm also an old Army guy serving during the Vietnam era.
