BTW this is basically what Apple is now selling as the base model for a MacPro ($2499). The base from Apple comes with only 6 gigs of ram and a 1TB drive. If you were to buy everything above it would cost well over $3300 through the Apple Store.

I was using a MacBook Pro along with this bad boy. I got tired of going between the two. i sold the macbook a month ago and bought a new retina MacBook Pro and setup a zfs storage. So I am selling this to try and make up the amount I spent on the mbp and zfs storage I got.

Thank you. That's close to my scenario too. A MBP, iMac, and a growing collection of externals. Neither as powerful as the MP and definitely no storage space.
