This sculpture by Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002) is a popular landmark on the campus of the University of California, San Diego.

While it's common for students to embellish Sun God with items such as sunglasses, headphones and a cap and gown in the Spring, it's shown here in its "natural" state.

Due to the statue's vivid colors against a background of eucalyptus tress, Fuji Velvia 50 film was the choice of media for this photograph. Thanks for taking a look!

Thanks for the comments Fishit and Norm.

I wish I could take credit for the colors, but they are all Velvia without any post processing. I really enjoy digital, but I continue to shoot with my old F100 film camera when the setting is right. It's harder to work with, but there's just something special about film.

Hi Fred, it appears that I was off-base on the rules when I posted my image. Could you please delete. Thanks.

I'm glad it didn't get deleted. This is really neat looking. And kudos for still using Velvia! That stuff is liquid gold!!
