I don't know how or when but one of the screws on my D3 fell out and I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what to replace it with. It's the screw near the vertical thumbwheel and serial number.

Is there a replacement on eBay somewhere or something I can pick up from a hardware store? I tried taking a screw from my N70 but it was too small and I've lost that too

Did you try the Nikon parts department phone # 310 414-8107? I was looking for the screws that hold the mount on the back of a lens and they sent me a half dozen free of charge. They since have changed there policy and now only supply parts to authorized Nikon repairers but given the nature of the part your looking for they may be able to help, worth a shot anyway.

I had a D700 come back from service with one missing - sent Nikon parts an e-mail with a photo of the location and they sent one out

Just an update, before I called Nikon I went to my local camera shop and they had a spare that they gave me for FREE so +1 for going local!
