Yakim,

Thanks for the link. I think I'll get one and compare it with some of my other small lenses.

Cheers, Jim

I'll bet that thing would look funny on my 1DsIII. Perfect for my T2i though.

Yep. I'd be most interested to know how it compares with the 50/1.8 and the 35/2 at similar apertures.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Looking funny is OK if it takes great photos! YMMV.

Also, it let's you tuck the 1DsIII into your back pocket. If you have a big back pocket.

I never suggested otherwise.

Alas, I don't. Such pockets are found mostly in coats, and these are not really useful here.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Consider yourself lucky. Some of us only have the first part.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

You know, I really want to buy this lens, but I'd have absolutely no real use for it. I bet it's fun to play with, though!

Now if Canon would revamp their 35/2....

Well, they did that with the 24/2.8 and 28/2.8 so the 35/2 must be next.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Yeah but this one is under $500 bucks...... I still staggered Canon was able to release something for a reasonable price and it's in the wild within a year of the announcement (mine here prob Mon to have a play).....

Personally, I'd be much happier with 50/1.4 with revised optics, IF, ring USM (but STM will also suffice ), and IS. Hey, one can dream, no?

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

I can't wait to get this lens.

Sounds awesome.

I wish it was f2, but I guess it would have had to be bigger maybe.

I could get three, one for each body.
How does that compare to the old 50/2.5?

Methinks it will look funny on anything.
