i figured since the question of fast lenses and which are sharpest/have the best bokeh/will magically make me a decent photographer comes up a lot we should just start a thread showing examples from all our ultrafast lenses wide open to direct people to. so post any images you have from an f/1.2 or faster lens wide open even if it's not alt (for comparison purposes). please also post what format (e.g. 4/3, aps-c, FF, truck camera)

for reference there was a similar thread a while ago:
http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/652568/0

here's a quick contribution of some of my oldies:
canon FL 55mm f/1.2 on 4/3:

rokkor MD 50mm f/1.2 on 4/3:

rokkor MC PG 58mm f/1.2 on 35mm film:

olympus pen f 42mm f/1.2 on aps-c:

it's possible i could be convinced to allow f/1.4 lenses if enough people think it's a good idea.

edit: OK, here is the rule on lenses slower than f/1.2: you can post images from lenses as slow as f/1.5 but they must be for comparison purposes – for every shot you post slower than f/1.2 you must also post a shot at f/1.2 (or faster). this should keep us from a deluge of f/1.4 images.

That last one from the pen is my favorite although the first one is nice too. Perhaps the 50mm Rokkor was too challenged by the background.

Yes allow 1.4 because the Zeiss Pancolar 1.4/55 kicks all other 1.2 in the a**

the rokkor 50/1.2 definitely can produce some funkiness. i was trying to provoke it for that shot to make the autumn leaves look sorta like flames.

here's a couple others from that lens still on 4/3, i image the bokeh would look less harsh on FF:

I like the one with the dragonfly posted above as well, it has a lovely glow.

Here's one from a Voigtlander 35/1.2 that I posted to the forum before that I kind of like. (Without EXIF, I'm only 95% sure I shot this wide open)

Here are a bunch with my Hexanon 57mm f/1.2 @ f/1.2. I pretty much only use this for shots of my daughter, so that's what you get.

I have a theory that the Konica Hexanon-M 60/1.2 would do it for me. Would anyone like to send me their copy so I can test this theory?

Beautiful shot everyone. I espeically like OP's Raven shot and Jordan's incredible shot of his daughter.

Finally I can share some of my Nikkor shots. I'd like to keep it a 1.2 thread otherwise it will build up at crazy speed if include 1.4 shot.

Here are few from Nikkor 50mm 1.2. D700

I'll play.

My only 1.2 lens is the Rokkor 50mm. Here it is wide open on both film and digital.

Obviously a very subjective consideration, but I love the rendering of the background in that example.
