This post really jogged my memory...we used to called it Kuršu kāpas in Latvian. Visited just once sometime in the 60s more than half a century ago, but still remember the magic of the place: the white sand dunes and green bushes sticking out of sand...
Thanks for posting leonasj! Love the colors.

Hi, was that SOOC, or what do you use for work flow? I also have a X-A1 but I don't like what I am seeing from LR so far.

Hi, I never shoot RAW, jpg fine only, so I can't advise as to Lightroom use but here is my workflow:

In Photoshop I do levels adjustment and minor sharpening, Nik Dfine 2 noise reduction if I've used a very high ISO.

I've set up my X-A1 with these settings:

ISO - Auto (6400 max)
Dynamic range - Auto
Film simulation - Velvia
Color - 0
Sharpness - 1
Highlight tone - 2
Shadow tone - 2
Noise reduction - 1
IS mode 2 - shooting and motion
Photometry - Multi
Focus mode - Area

I've experimented with other settings but find I like the results I can get set up like this the most pleasing to my eye.
All in all, I personally see no need for RAW capture and photos out of the camera with the above settings require very little additional work on my part. I've only varied white balance from Auto a couple of times, under indoor lighting. I'm always amazed at low noise photos produced at high ISO, my Nikon DSLR's could never hope to compete.

As always, YMMV, maybe this will help you in some small way. Take care.

Couple of snapshots from a recent trip to Cancun. I've sold my XE-1 and 14 (probably a mistake). Thinking of getting the XT-1 + 56 1.2 and the 23 1.4.
