Thank you guys. Finally I could convert the inspiration I got from my favorite painter, El Greco, into my pictures. I would love to have a sporty model and the facilities to do this more often.

BokehBeauty, I think this is the best work I have seen you do. Can you break down your technique? Looks almost like a double exposure.

Hi everyone. Been stalking this forum for the longest time ever and really learnt a lot from everyone here. Now I hope to be able to contribute. Some humble shots from me. From my recent trip to Melbourne, Australia.

All shot with the XE-1 and the two touits.

Kevin,

Yes, the Elinchrome flash was on burst mode, directing 45° onto the model via a large, parabolic reflector. I shot in parallel to the main photographer who triggered the Elinchrome. I tried to be as close as possible at the model down at the floor without interfering with the main shooter. I initially wanted to use the 14mm, but that would have interfered. The burst frequency must have been 3..4 Hz, as I could see from other pictures. Depending on when I released my shutter, I got a variable number of flash exposures. The total exposure was a hit and miss. In these picture with less flashes it was way underexposed. But the underexposure resulted in the red reflections that I like but can't explain.

My explanation may sound a bit unprofessional, but it was the first time for me to shoot in the studio with professional equipment and help.

The second shot, Bokeh... Great!

By the way, Munich, huh? I'm right by the Wittelsbacherbrücke.

And another. As a newbie to posting photos in this manner can someone please let me know if the files are showing up properly and/or if I am doing something incorrectly? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You're posting links, that when clicked on bring one to an Adobe page that shows your image.

All you generally need to do here is include the actual (not shortened) URL to the image you want embedded here. That is going to depend, in some manner, on how the image is hosted. And I'm not familiar with if Adobe provides you a static image URL that you can embed-- or only creates dynamically loaded pages.
