I am just looking for a basic program that can cut and crop sections of video for them to be combined to make a simple presentation. Is there any free program that can do this that isn't garbage to work with such as having permanent watermarks/ trial versions etc,. thanks.

For a very basic program I've been using Windows Live Movie Maker.
It gets the job done here at work cuz we don't need anything too fancy.
