I noticed the OOF is not that fast, it resembles like a ZE 35/2 at f2 with closer to subject distance. i may be wrong.

what's your distance on this?

I think the FE55 got some Zeiss 3D magic but not here. Here the FE55 is just sharp and overall Zeissy. It is a crop because I am no friend of A7 and autofocus. Critical focus is with the frontmost headlight (small focus point in center) as I dont like recomposition as it puts me out of control. Anyway here the full scene which partially explain the somewhat slower OOF transition

Gorgeous Volvo. My favorite of all their models.

Awesome shot Carsten. Which mount is your Distagon 21?

Last week i got the contax vario-sonnar 80-200/4. A quite great lense in my opinion. Nice colors, contrast and bokeh. Some shots on the Sony NEX6:

All my Zeiss lenses are Nikon mount (except my Sony FE, Hasselblad and Rolleiflex lenses). My Contax 50/1.7 and 80-200/4 are Leitaxed, the others are ZF.2.

How do you present large files like this on this site?

A few shots cross posted from the A7 thread...gotta keep this one going too!
A7 & Contax 35-70...a perfect match! The 35-70 was made to use on the A7, IMHO!! I bet it would do fantastic on ye A7/r, too...

Here are a few from the M Monochrom with an older Zeiss lens. Carl Zeiss Jena 5cm f/1.5 Sonnar, this particular lens was made in 1937 for Contax mount and adapted to Leica LTM by Brian Sweeney using Russian Jupiter 3 focus helical. It is uncoated, but still not too bad with flare so long as a hood and a little care is used.

All shots with orange filter.

And a few more from the MM with 1937 Sonnar. Again all shots with orange filter except the last one, which was shot in available darkness with no filter.
