Ronny, great dog photos.
Michael, nice feel to that photo.

Here is a quartet from today, ZE 35 Distagon and ZE 85 Planar on a 1Ds Mark II.

Mandatory lonely bench photo.

C/Y 50/1.4 and Fuji S5 Pro

This lens made realize that I need FF (preferably with big OVF and weak AA or no at all).

Zeiss has released a new video of Dr. Hubert Nasse talking about the upcoming super-prime 55/1.4 Distagon ZF/ZE:

I have to admit that the more I hear about this lens, the more interested I am in it. I wish they would move away from the yellow paint for the numerals and the smooth focusing rubber, but perhaps this is just for the prototype.

Maybe I should by one in a Nikon mount, you don't happen to know if Nikon has released any cameras with a high-megapixel, high quality sensor lately?

You mean since the D800/D800E?

Btw, somewhere in the movie there is a shot of a D4 with the lens on it. Whoa! It is the size of the 24-70/2.8G as a rough estimate, and has 12 elements!

Amazing results from that 55/1.4 wide open.. Its huge though, looks like a 24-70

yeah, it looks large and I guess it'll be really expensive. Has anyone seen a release date for this lens?

According to an early press release from Zeiss it is expected to be available next autumn.

Here are 3 photos from a smaller, cheaper but very good perfroming 50mm, the Macro-Planar.

Tried out my new CY Zeiss Vario-Sonnar 100-300 mm - f/4.5-5.6 this weekend. This lens is already impressing me. Both shots taken wide open.

Sometimes I get really bored with processing. So this is picture where you wont see any Zeiss magic. Sorry.

Ofc it is taken with Zeiss lens..

Sometimes I think Im like 70 years late..
