I dabbled a little for about 4 or 5 years after getting my first point and shoot. Even after getting my D50 in mid 2006, it was still about a year or so until I flipped that mode from auto. I have been trying to ramp up ever since, reading, surfing the net for info and of course shooting as much as possible. This site has been a big inspiration over the last several months as I had lurked in the shadows, but now I guess it's time for to cut my teeth.
