I'm a retired US Army officer and freelance writer living in northeastern Italy.
I prefer low-light and night photography, especially scenes with shadows, silhouettes, solitary figures, select focus, and shallow depth-of-field. I also like imposing architecture, negative space and rain.
I use a Nikon D3s and Hasselblad 501C/M and SuperWide C/M cameras and an assortment of mostly manual focus Nikkor and Carl Zeiss prime lenses, and sometimes a Gitzo 1325 tripod for longer exposures. What little post-processing I do is done in Adobe Photoshop CS5 and NIK Silver Efex Pro 2. |
