I'm Craig, I'm a wedding and food
photographer in Milwaukee, WI

I was a graphic designer for 15 years, the
last 10 years I was focused on
brand package design - and the last 6 years
it was primarily food packaging.
...Which is where I found my love for being
on a food photography set working
with food and prop stylists.

Being a big time foodie also helps. several
years ago, for health reasons, my
family went organic (as much as possible).
Once our first boy was one year
old, when he could start eating "real food",
we joined a local CSA
(community supported agriculture). After the
first box was delivered last May
(2013), I've been a strong advocate for
buying local and getting know where
your food comes from.

Back to photography; I'm re-loving film all
over again - it's been nearly 20
years since I shot film seriously in college. I
hated it then. Now?!? I can't get
enough of it. Once I bought my FE2 bodies
and a 50/1.2 AIS, I became
reacquainted with MF lenses all over again.
I used to have an old Pentax
K1000 and a Ricoh KR-5 SuperII with an
old Pentax 50mm f/2 - lens still looks
new. Why did I hate that stuff 20 years ago?
:)

But since I shoot Nikon gear for weddings,
and I'm hip deep in Nikon gear, I
started buying up some old Nikon Legacy
Glass - though not THAT (pre-AI)
old. It's just old enough to where the lenses
are made of metal and weigh like
a brick. Those old MF lenses have really
become entirely rewarding to use
these day - even on my digital camera
bodies - I just love the way each lens
has it's own character.

Those old Nikon and Contax lenses have
reignited my passion for photography. :)
