I am a Nikon full frame shooter. I know I
have plagiarised this from a fellow
enthusiast who happens to shoot Canon
gear, but I liked it so much I could not
resist!
Re. D700 kit: I have the incredible 14–
24/2.8, the 70–200 VR and the 35-70/2.8
which lives on the D700 most of the time.
As well, I have a bunch of metal (and
plastic) zooms, and the Zeiss 50/2 Macro
Planar. I will sell this probably; the new
60/2,8 micro Nikkor is better and more
versatile, IMHO.
I have a Fuji S5 Pro; a Tokina 11-16/2.8,
a Nikkor 35/2 D (bargain of the year) and
this 60/2.8 which lives on this body most
of the time). I love the images from this
somewhat clunky camera (implementation
of user interface). I can live with this.
I am interested in printed images, not
pixel peeping. As well, I now have a Panasonic
HMC-150 for video/DVD work. I have Macs and
big calibrated screens—life is good.
For pleasure I shoot an OM2, with the 35/2,
50/1.4 and am looking for an 80/2 or 100/2.
See www.pandf.com.au/bodypress/ for now out-
of-date commercial images (and a few
snaps) and www.KitLaughlin.com/ for books
and workshops in another field entirely. |
