My name is Aaron Robinson and i'm an amateur photographer located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I became interested in photography as a child, taking photographs with a black and white film SLR, processing/developing images by hand. I took courses in photography and film in high school and college and became intrigued by the versatility of the medium. My current focus is landscape photography but I also take portraits and street photography.
I've always been in awe of the beauty of nature. Growing up in Northern California, I was exposed to the wonders of Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, the Pacific Ocean, and everything in between and have learned not to take them for granted.
When I take a photograph, my goal is to capture the mood of a scene rather than just a snapshot. I take a lot of long exposures, which help to bring a sense of life to an otherwise still image. I occasionally use High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography to create images which can display the full range of tones found in the scene. |
