Thank you Evan. This is not some long-winded rant, but a great guide for those who want to do it right. I simply cannot find anything that I disagree with and its open enough for all the different legit approaches. And I like that you've also addressed certain problems that rookies come across when approaching pros.
This should an end to much of the broad brush-painting and defensiveness here lately.
