Re: Canon EOS-1D X firmware 2.0.3 update

QUESTION!!!!

I must be doing something wrong here, or I misunderstand the 1DX-Manual

Maybe one of you can help me with this?

I'm trying to put a "special function" on the DOF button and on the M-Fn2 button.
On each of these buttons, I want to have a different AF Area.
From the manual, I understand this should be possible.

So:
In "Custom Controls"
I choose the desired button (have to repeat the process for the 2 buttons)
I Switch to "Registered AF Function"
Push the "Info button" next to the viewfinder
and choose "AF Area Selection Mode"

But somehow I can not get different AF areas on the 2 buttons. They end up being the same AF area on the 2 buttons.

?

What am I doing wrong here?
